I WANT TO GIVE YOU AN OVERVIEW OF WHAT WE'VE BEEN DOING IN THE CRITICAL RESPONSE OFFICE.

IN THIS SLIDE KIND OF SHOWS YOU A TIMELINE OF SOME OF THE KEY DATES THAT HAVE HAPPENED WITH REGARDING THE CRITICAL RESPONSE OFFICE.

BUT ACTUALLY, THE WORK OF THE CRITICAL RESPONSE OFFICE STARTED IN MARCH WHEN WE WENT REMOTE.

BACK IN MARCH WHEN WE DECIDED TO PUT ALL CLASSES ONLINE, THE LEADERSHIP TEAM

STARTED WORKING ON WORK THAT WOULD REQUIRE, THAT WAS NEEDED SO WE COULD PREPARE TO COME BACK.

THIS OFFICE BEGAN ON JUNE 12 WHEN I STARTED IN THIS ROLE AS A CHIEF CRITICAL RESPONSE OFFICER.

PRIOR, WE HAVE BROUGHT BACK EMPLOYEES AND STUDENTS JUNE 8.

WE HAD A PHASE TWO IN JULY.

AND THEN PHASE THREE, WHICH STARTED ON MONDAY OF THIS WEEK.

AS WE PREPARE TO BRING BACK EMPLOYEES AND STUDENTS, WE KNEW WE HAD TO PREPARE OUR FACILITIES.

WHAT WE HAVE DONE IS WE HAVE STARTED CLEANING THE HIGH-TOUCH AREAS AT A MINIMUM OF EVERY TWO HOURS.

WE HAVE OUR CONTRACTED VENDORS WHO CLEAN THOSE AREAS SUCH AS HAND RAILS, DOORKNOBS, RESTROOMS, ON A REGULAR BASIS.

ADDITIONALLY, WE HAVE ADJUSTED OUR HVAC SYSTEM SO WE'RE BRINGING IN MORE FRESH AIR AND INCREASING OUR HUMIDITY.

THIS HELPS IF SOMEONE DOES HAVE THE VIRUS AND THEY COUGH OR SNEEZE WITHOUT COVERING, THIS HELPS IT TO DIE IMMEDIATELY.

SO THE SPREAD IS LESSONED.

WE INSTALLED OVER ONE THOUSAND SIGNAGE THROUGHOUT DALLAS COLLEGE.

WE HAVE SIGNAGE IN RESTROOMS AS YOU CAN SEE BY THIS PHOTO, WE HAVE SIGNAGE IN HALLS AND ENTRY POINTS.

IT'S ENCOURAGING INDIVIDUALS TO REMAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING AND ENCOURAGING INDIVIDUALS TO WEAR THEIR MASK.

THIS PARTICULAR SIGN ON THIS PHOTO HAS THE STEPS THAT WE'RE REQUIRING FOR WASHING YOUR HANDS.

AND WE'RE ENCOURAGING INDIVIDUALS TO WASH HANDS FOR AT LEAST 20 SECONDS.

THESE ARE SOME OF THE PREPARATIONS THAT WE'VE DONE FOR OUR FACILITIES.

WITH COVID, WE ALLOW FOR SOCIAL DISTANCING IN CLASSROOMS AND WORK AREAS.

WE'VE DESIGNATED ENTRY AND EXIT POINTS.

WHERE BY LIMITING THE PLACES INDIVIDUALS CAN COME IN AND EXIT OUR FACILITIES.

WE'VE ALSO PURCHASED PLEXIGLASS BARRIERS FOR ANY OF THE OTHERS THAT WILL HAVE FACE-TO-FACE MEETINGS WITH STUDENTS OR OTHER INDIVIDUALS.

THESE PLEXIGLASS BARRIERS ARE MOBILE BARRIERS UTILIZED FOR ADVISING, LIBRARY, TESTING CENTERS.

IN PREPARING THE PEOPLE TO RETURN TO WORK AND RETURN BACK TO THE CAMPUS LOCATIONS, WE HAVE HEALTH MONITORING SELF-SCREENING APPLICATION.

OUR I.T.

DEPARTMENT WAS ABLE TO PARTNER WITH APN SO WE HAVE PURCHASED APN APP AND HAD IT MODIFIED TO MEET OUR NEEDS.

SELF-SCREENING IS TAKING PLACE WITH ALL STUDENTS AND ALL EMPLOYEES.

WE ALSO HAVE REQUIRED BACK TO CAMPUS TRAINING FOR STUDENTS AND STAFF.

WE'RE REQUIRING FACE COVERING OF EVERYONE WHO ENTERRESS ENTERS OUR FACILITIES AND IF YOU ARE IN THE PRESENCE OF ANYONE, WHETHER THAT BE IF THEY ARE WITHIN SIX FEET OR OUTSIDE OF SIX FEET, WE REQUIRE YOU TO WEAR THE FACE COVERING WHEN ENTERING THE FACILITY.

IF WALKING DOWN THE HALL, WE REQUIRE A FACE COVERING.

WE'RE MANDATED MANDATING SOCIAL DISTANCING, AND CREATING A WEBPAGE WITH RESOURCES FOR STUDENTS AND STAFF TO UTILIZE.

SOME OF THE CHANGES THAT WE HAVE MADE FOR EMPLOYEES AND STUDENTS, WE ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGING EMPLOYEES TO EAT THEIR MEALS AT WORK STATIONS.

AND WE HAVE DESIGNATED LARGE SPACES WHERE EMPLOYEES CAN EAT MEALS ALSO.

WE HAVE ELIMINATING FOOD DELIVERIES PRIOR TO COVID, WE WOULD HAVE MANY DOOR DASH

AND UBER EATS VEHICLES COMING IN AND OUT OF THE FACILITIES.

WE'VE ELIMINATED THAT FOR THE TIME BEING AND LIMITED THE NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE AT OUR WORK SITES.

WE HAVE IMPLEMENTED WHAT WE'VE TERMED THE ABC SCHEDULING.

EMPLOYEES ARE WORKING ON SITE FOR ONE WEEK AND REMOTELY FOR TWO.

THE NEXT WEEK, THE B SCHEDULE COMES IN AND DOES THE SAME AND SO FORTH.

THIS LIMITS THE NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS AT THE WORK SITE WHICH ALLOWS TO CONTINUE WITH SOCIAL DISTANCING.

WE HAVE ALSO LIMITED THE OCCUPANCY ALLOWED IN SPECIFIC AREAS.

WE TALKED ABOUT EARLIER WE'VE LIMITED THE MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY IN WORK AREAS AND CLASSROOMS. WE'VE ALSO LIMITED A OCCUPANCY IN RESTROOMS, ELEVATORS, STAIRWELLS AND HALLS.

AND THERE IS SIGNAGE THAT DESIGNATE THE LIMITED CAPACITY FOR THESE AREAS.

WE'VE ELIMINATED ANY TYPES OF ACTIVITIES THAT CAN LEAD TO CONGREGATING, INCLUDING DANCES OR PLAYS, STUDENT LIFE TYPE OF ACTIVITIES THAT WOULD LEAD TO INDIVIDUALS CONGREGATING.

SOME OF THE THINGS THAT WE'VE PUT IN PLACE FOR EMPLOYEES WHO CANNOT RETURN TO THE WORKPLACE IS INABILITY TO RETURN TO THE WORKPLACE PROCESS EMPLOYEES COMPLETE AN ONLINE FORM AND DESIGNATE WHY THEY CANNOT RETURN TO THE WORKPLACE, BE THEY HAVE A CHILDCARE CONCERN OR CARING FOR SOMEONE OR THEY MAY NOT JUST FEEL SAFE IN COMING BACK TO THE WORKPLACE.

WHEN AN EMPLOYEE COMPLETES THE INABILITY TO RETURN TO THE WORKPLACE PROCESS, THEY ARE COMPLETING A REMOTE WORK AGREEMENT, BETWEEN THE EMPLOYEE AND SUPERVISOR THAT SPECIFIES THE WORK THE EMPLOYEE WILL DO WHILE REMAINING WORKING REMOTELY.

IT ALSO HAS REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYEES TO PROVIDE THE DOCUMENTATION THAT SUPPORTS THEIR INABILITY TO RETURN TO THE WORKPLACE.

A EMPLOYEE MIGHT SUBMIT THE FORM STATING THEY CANNOT RETURN TO WORK BECAUSE OF CHILDCARE.

WE GO THROUGH A VETTING PROCESS, THE EMPLOYEE GETS A 14-DAY CONDITIONAL APPROVAL.

THOSE FORMS ARE VETTED THROUGH THE HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT, AND DOCUMENTATION IS REQUESTED.

THE EMPLOYEE CANNOT PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION, THEN WE BEGIN TO WORK WITH THEM ON WHAT TYPE OF LEAVE THEY HAVE.

I WANTED TO CLARIFY, THERE IS DOCUMENTATION BEING REQUESTED FOR EACH OF THOSE CATEGORIES.

AND IT'S SIMPLY, YOU KNOW, EMPLOYEE WHO DOESN'T FEEL SAFE TO RETURN HAS TO HAVE A RATIONAL BASIS AND SUBMIT DOCUMENTATION BEFORE WE GET TO THAT REMOTE WORK AGREEMENT WHICH SETS FORTH VERY SPECIFIC THINGS AROUND EXPECTATIONS AND COMMUNICATION TIMEFRAMES AND SUPERVISION AND THINGS OF THAT NATURE.

TESTING CENTERS WILL OPEN AT THE END OF AUGUST TO SEE STUDENTS WHO HAVE SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS.

AND STUDENT LIFE IS CONTINUING TO ENGAGE STUDENTS IN A DIFFERENT WAY, KEEPING IN MIND PREDOMINANTLY OUR ONLINE ENVIRONMENT.

THOSE ARE THE THINGS WE'RE DOING IN STUDENT SUCCESS TO ABIDE TO OUR NEW NORMAL.

THIS SLIDE SHOWS THE INCREASE FROM SPRING, WE HAD 135 SECTIONS MOSTLY IN THE AREA OF CTE.

THAT IS STEADILY INCREASING, WE OFFER 694 FACE-TO-FACE COURSES DURING THE SUMMER.

WE HAVE ABOUT 700 FACE-TO-FACE SECTIONS FOR THE FALL, THAT IS UP TO ABOUT 1300 AS WE CONTINUE TO REFINE AND STRATEGICALLY PLAN FOR THE RETURN TO CAMPUS.

WE'RE NOT JUST OUR LABS AND CTE SKILL BASED COURSES BUT FOR EVEN SOME OF OUR COURSES THAT ARE IN TRADITIONAL TRANSFER AREAS, PROVIDING THE SUPPORT THAT WE KNOW OUR STUDENTS NEED IN A FACE-TO-FACE MANNER.

WE'LL BEGIN ON AUGUST 24TH, TO OFFER ACADEMIC SUPPORTS TO OUR STUDENTS BY WAY OF TUTORING SERVICES, LIBRARY SERVICES, AND ALSO COMPUTER LABS.

BECAUSE WE KNOW THAT'S BEEN A BEEN CONCERN DURING THIS TIME, THE LACK OF STUDENT'S ABILITY TO ACCESS THE RIGHT TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS THEY NEED AND SO WE'LL BE PROVIDING COMPUTER LAB SPACE AS OF AUGUST 24 -- OCTOBER 24.

WE'RE WORKING WITH OUR ISD PARTNERS TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE THE SPACE AVAILABLE, NOT ONLY PURSUANT TO OUR REQUIREMENTS WE HAVE FOR COVID AND RETURN TO CAMPUS, BUT MAKING SURE WE'RE FOLLOWING THEIR REQUIREMENTS AS WELL.

AND SORT OF ALIGNING THOSE SIDE BY SIDE FOR THOSE P-TECHS AND ACADEMICS WE HAVE ON OUR CAMPUSES AT DIFFERENT LOCATIONS.
