AS YOU KNOW OUTSIDE THIS GENERAL SERVICE AREA, E DO SERVE FOLKS FROM OTHER CITIES AND OTHER COMMUNITIES THAT CHOOSE, BECAUSE THEY KNOW HAT WE ARE THE BEST VALUE AND COLLEGE FOR THEM.

THAT THEY COME OUT INTO OUR SERVICE AREA FROM OTHER CITIES.

I BEGIN WITH A GENERAL OVERVIEW.

SOME SELECTED COLLEGE HIG HIGHLIGHTS.

WE TALKED ABOUT OUR CHALLENGES AND SUCCESSES AND YOU'LL SEE SOME OF THIS A LITTLE BIT LATER ON WHEN WE TALK ABOUT PERFORMANCE BASED FUNDING.

MOUNTAIN VIEW COLLEGE ONE OF THE CHALLENGES IS THAT 83% OF OUR STUDENT.

S ARE PART TIME.

IF THEY ARE GOING PART TIME IT ST TAKES LONGER TO GRADUATE AND LONGER TO TRANSFER BECAUSE THEY'RE ONLY TAKING ONE TO TWO CLASSES AT A TIME OVER A LONGER PERIOD.

THE SECOND CHALLENGE IS OVER 07% OF OUR STUDENTS HAVE DEVELOPMENT EDUCATION WHICH ALSO EXPANDS THELET OF TIME THAT THEY'RE HERE AT MOUNTAIN VIEW COLLEGE WHICH INCREASES THE LENGTH OF TIME FOR THEM TO GRADUATE AND COMPLETE A TRANSFER.

SOME SUCCESSES, OUR ENROLLMENT GR GROWTH.

THIS MORNING WE WERE UP ANOTHER 1 18%.

LAST YEAR WE'RE ELEBRATE THE 10,000.

OUR TLHREE YEAR INCREASE AND DEVELOPMENTAL EDUCATION.

THERE ARE SOME FLUCTUATIONS IN A GIVEN YEAR AND COLLEGE LEVEL MATHEMATICS IS UP 2% IN THE PRIOR YEAR.

AN AREA OF EMPHASIS FOR US.

WE'VE HIRED ADDITIONAL FACULTY AND PUT IN PLACE STRATEGIES TO IMPROVE AND CONTINUE TO IMPROVE MATHEMATIC.

THE GROWING NUMBER OF STUDENTS IN DISTANCE AND NLINE SOURCES ACROSS THE ENTIRE NETWORK IS OF CONCERN TO US BECAUSE WE HAVE A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF STUDENTS IN DISTANCE LEARNING.

OUR CURRENT SUCCESS RATE IS SHOWING A 4% PERFORMANCE GAP FROM ALL STUDENT SUCCESS.

ALL STUDENTS ACHIEVE C OR BETTER AT 75%.

TO LOSE THAT PERFORMANCE GAP AND HAVE GREATER SCCESS.

ON THE PLUS SIDE WE'LL POINT OUT TWO AREAS.

ONE IS THE S.T.E.M. CENTER US TO ADVANCE FORWARD.

WE WERE ABLE TO MODIFY A FACILITY AND PUT IN PLACE A COMPREHENSIVE ADVISING MODEL THAT WAS THE PATH WAYS ON STE STEROIDS.

WE HAVE NAVIGATORS, ENIOR ACADEMIC PATH WAY ADVISORS, WE HAVE PART-TIME ADVISORS AND WE HAVE STUDENTS HIRED TO TUTOR WITHIN THE CENTER.

THE STUDENTS, LMOST 9 THOUSAND STUDENTS CALM THROUGH THAT CENTER AND THEY'RE RECEIVED INFORMATION FROM BUSINESSES AND COMPANIES ON INTERNSHIPS AND JOB OPPORT OPPORTUNITIES.

WE DECIDED TO START AN EIGHT-WEEK SEMESTER SCHEDULE.

SO THAT STUDENTS HOPEFULLY CAN TAKE AS MANY AS TWO COURSES IN THE FIRST EIGHT WEEKS.

AND TWO TO THREE COURSES IN THE SECOND EIGHT WEEKS.

WHICH MEANS AT THE END OF 16 WEEKS THEY BECOME FULL-TIME STUDENTS.

THEY HAVE 12 OR 15 HOURS WHICH IS THE FIRST MILESTONE WHICH WE BELIEVE WILL HELP THEM GET TO THE END GOAL OF A DEGREE OR CERTIFICATE FASTER.

WE WERE NERVOUS THIS TIME BECAUSE THIS WAS OUR FIRST SEMESTER FOR IMPLEMENTATION.

WHA WHAT WOULD IT DO TO OUR ENROLLMENT.

IT TURNED OUT IT'S WORKED OUT FINE.

WE ARE AT A LITTLE OVER 16 THOUSAND STUDENTS AND THEY HAVE A SEMESTER TO ADD BECAUSE MANY HAVE NOT REGISTERED FOR THE SECOND EIGHT WAEEKS.

WE'RE HOLDING OUR BREATH TO SEE IF THAT WORKS WELL.

AS FAR AS OUR SUCCESSES LIKE SO MANY OF THE OTHER COLLEGES, THE GROWTH AND DUAL CREDITS.

HAVE BEEN FEMME NORMAL.

WE HAVE -- PHENOMENAL.

IT'S 26% OF OUR OVERALL ENRO ENROLLMENT.

WE WORK WITH 30 DIFFERENT HIGH SCH SCHOOLS.

IN DELIVERING OUR DUAL CREDIT.

WE HAVE ALSO HAD STUDENT SUCCESS IN DEVELOPMENTAL MATH.

OUR SUCCESSES IS AT 30%.

AND WE DID ANOTHER 30 -- WE MEANING THE FACULTY DID ANOTHER 30 THIS SUMMER AND SCHEDULED TO DO ANOTHER DURING THIS YEAR AND THE FINAL LESS THAN 100 IN THE FOLLOWING YEAR.

RIGHT NOW I'M EXCITED TO SAY THAT WE -- THE CHIEF STUDENT SERVICE OFFICERS ARE REDESIGNING THE STUDENT EXPERIENCE FROMMED A MUGS THROUGH ENROLLMENT.
